Dr. Tom Junker – Assistant Professor Tilburg University – With my research and teaching activities, I aim to empower managers, employees, and students with knowledge and tools to help them navigate the constantly changing world of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom Junker Research<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Through my research activities, I strive to provide novel insights on: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Modern team arrangements, such as agile teams or multiple team memberships<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Behaviors that help employees to proactively optimize their well-being and performance and <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The interaction between top-down influences and bottom-up employee behaviors<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    My research primarily concerns agile forms of organizing, teamwork, proactivity, and occupational health<\/strong>. I am to find out how organizations can create a context that helps employees to thrive in their work and personal lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    During my projects, I mostly work with quantitative multilevel level research designs and analyses<\/strong>. I believe this approach offers a realistic and understandable perspective on organizational life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Tom Junker Teaching<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    As an Assistant Professor in Human Resource Studies at Tilburg University, I am responsible for three courses in our bachelor and master program. I am also involved in the curriculum committee of our master’s program, where I help to ensure that our program stays up-to-date with the latest developments in the labor market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Tom Junker Impact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Working in an applied discipline, I aim to create positive societal impact by <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. working closely with practitioners and local stakeholders<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. sharing my discoveries in blogs, popular news outlets, invited talks or podcasts and <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. developing evidence-based assessment tools and interventions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      With my research, I want to contribute to co-creating the future of work<\/strong>. By sharing my discoveries with the world, I hope to contribute to a future of work that is sustainable for people, organizations, and our planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
